7 November 1900 is a critical date in the unit’s storied history, one that defines who we are what we aspire to be. Each year on the closest Saturday to the 7th, all Dragoons celebrate the accomplishments of the Regiment at the Battle of Leliefontein during the Boer War where members of the unit demonstrated valour and dedication, earning multiple recognitions including 3 Victoria Crosses.
