This weekend saw the execution of the Corps Conference, at the end of which we witnessed the change of appointment of the Corps’ Colonel Commandant

Gen Walt – On behalf of all Dragoons we would like to thank you for your outstanding leadership and dedication as our Col Comdt. You have connected and devoted so much of your time with our Corps and your experience, enthusiasm and positivity are hard to beat. Our Dragoons always treasured your many visits over the past three years. Thank you as well for always being there to provide advice and guidance to me and our Regiment on many occasions. These are challenging times for this nation and our Forces, and we have really needed your guidance and wisdom to keep us moving as best we can in the right direction. You have been the most dedicated Canadian even in retirement, and we wish you the very best as you have the opportunity to spend more time with your lovely family.

Jim Lockyer – On behalf of all Dragoons I would like to congratulate you on your appointment as our next Colonel Commandant. You have outstanding experience both with the Forces, public service and business community, and you will be an excellent leader for our Corps.You are well known and well respected in the Corps and we look forward to your first visit to The Regiment for our Change of Command on 26 June.
