Dragoons,
I am very pleased to have been appointed as Colonel of the Regiment for The Royal Canadian Dragoons. Having received a terrific handover from MGen (ret’d) Dean Milner, I am well aware of my responsibilities in representing our proud unit. I know that this is an exciting time to be a Dragoon and a member of our Regimental family: a time of deployments, training and high international tension. It is also a time of limited vehicle serviceability, operating budget cuts, and daily affordability challenges for our military families and veterans. As Canada and Allied nations recommit to the principle of adequately funded defence forces, it is important that Regiments continue to foster a strong sense of esprit de corps, to maintain professional abilities, and are Mission Ready when the nation calls on us. I will do my best to enhance that readiness however I can.
